P in the Park 2003 (Talisman MCC)

Having head about the first P in The Park Rally from other rally goers and from Al (http://www.bikers1.com) the whole of the psychoBiKER crew decided it would be a damned fine idea to pop down for a visit.

As usual, the great layed plans of man came to it's first stumbling block when we were about 2 hours late in leaving. Unfortunately, one of the crew's bike was still off the road so we had prearranged taking one car and four bikes. (Thanks to Talisman for making things so easy to organise!)

Anyways, apart from the usual problem of the bikes pissing off into the distance at the first sign of traffic, we managed to arrive in Stirling on mass, the majority of that mass being Matty and Big Bri.

Checking in was the usual banter and ripping the piss, but I did manage to spot Al and introduced myself (Internet is a useful tool for making friends!). After much deliberation we decided to set up camp at the end of a path working on the principle of following the path later that night to find the tents.

The pitch was nice and soft, weather good, beer better, though this time we remembered to pitch tents before getting wasted.

The bands on the Friday night were both good and not so good, wish I could remember names and stuff, but a long day and many beers did nothing for my recall capabilities. The first band on were excellent, and really started to enjoy myself, though to be honest, things started getting rough when both Ang and Moira tried to trade me into a bar maid for a beer, then they offered me plus twice the cost of the beer, but the bar maid wouldn't deal (arse!).

Needless to say, the Friday night is a complete blur.

The Saturday on the other hand is a different story... After spending much of Saturday afternoon in the Club house getting pissed up with some of the Fat Bastards, we wondered up through Stirling to find some food, usual chaos, but everyone seemed friendly enough. Back to the site for some beers. Snake entered the Tattoo competition and by Christ he won! It is a nice tat though but the picture here will not do it justice.

The Saints and Sinners had a quad out for the little ones, and it was amazing to see a 4 year old screaming round the site, and every time she came into listening distance all you could hear was "Wheeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeeee!" (the fun lasted on Saturday, but on the Sunday morning the poor / Silly little buggers hit a bike, no one hurt thankfully, but scares all round... whoever you are mate, I hope your bike's okay)

The bands on the Saturday night were superb. Myself and Big Bri, sat there the whole night getting steadily pished. Really enjoyed it... the three piece band that were on first played some superb covers, and had I been drunker, I might have gotten out for a boogie! The last band of the night were good too... KONG? Apparently there was Stovies to be had so most of the crew buggered of and left me an Big Bri to hold up the PB honor... we did our best, and frequent trips over to chat to some of other clubs in the hall made for a good night. The crew that went for food (weirdos!) met up with some guys from Northumbria, so a mutual piss taking was undertaken in the food area. The wonder back to the tents was good fun watching some dude fire eating...

Over all, and excellent rally, even breakfast on Sunday was fun. If you can get a tickets next year go to the P in The Park,,,, it will definitely be worth your while if it's anything like as good as this year.
